JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE: Junior Project Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Project Manager

PURPOSE OF JOB: Managing all projects under your control from start to finish including full quoting and cost control ensuring that projects are completed on time in full fulfilling the customers’ requirements.

 

Key Result Areas

Provide project visibility to The Bond Group.

There will be a requirement to manage active and forecasted projects from customers. With guidance from both the Senior Project Manager and account directors, visibility is to be provided into the Bond Group, to assist our Production and Supply Chain departments. This visibility could typically extend to 8-10 weeks.

It is expected that the Junior Project Manager will liaise with customers on a fortnightly basis to ensure forecasting is accurate.

Project Management and updating production and supply chain in a timely manner

The Junior Project Manager is expected, with support and assistance, to create a sales quote to the customer to agreed cabinet/parts specification and price structure. These projects, upon ordering, are to be managed from quotation to completion with regular contact with customer on and off site.

This information is to be communicated into The Bond Group daily with regular contact with Production and Supply Chain departments.

The Junior Project Manager is expected to monitor budget for delivery and installation services are collated and scheduled and raise any points of concern immediately. These budgets are then to be compared against actual costs incurred and where needed, supply and production chain challenged.

All project documents are to be filed in a timely manner to allow other users to progress works without undue delay.

Management of project (first contact – invoice) and on-site responsibilities

Junior Project Managers are required to attend relevant customer pre and post installation meetings and to manage the customers expectations throughout the project. Any areas of concern are to be escalated to the Senior Project Manager immediately.

Customers are to be contacted post completion to ensure outstanding works are completed and projects are signed off for smooth payment. Should there be any cost variation on completion, this detail is to be recorded and submitted to either the Senior Project Manager or the Account Director for cause investigation and analysis on a weekly basis.

Knowledge/ Experience/ Skills Required

  • Previous junior project management experience
  • Previous experience within refrigeration industry preferable but not essential
  • Extensive relevant experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
  • A willingness to travel to customers as and when required
