Pedestrian safety is vital in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment like ours, as the close proximity of people and vehicles can all too often lead to accidents. Floor markings can create visual “sidewalks” to let people know where it’s safe to stand and when they’re crossing a “road” that might bring them dangerously close to a forklift or other motorized piece of equipment. One of the primary benefits of integrating floor marking into our facility where forklift use is the norm is to separate the walkers from the drivers.
What we’ve done so far…
We’ve adopted the same floor marking strategy as used at The Bond Group Telford, by implementing a red road for our fork lift trucks, green “safe zone” walkways and yellow crossing points. Moving loads is dangerous, especially to unprotected workers; so keeping the two separate from one another is the simplest, safest solution. This supports our mission of:
